Mission

Purrfectionists aim to save stray cats from starvation and dirtiness by providing home care and foods that can make them healthy everyday for people who like cats and have compassion for cats. This campaign is to call for people who are interested in helping adopt stray cats so it can reduce the stray cats suffering on the streets and roads.

Vision

Purrfectionists aims to create an adoption center for stray cats all over the Philippines as every cat deserves love, care, a place they can treat as their homes. Purrfectionists wants to see a world where stray cats are living comfortably and treated with love and care, seeing a cat filled with happiness and joyful look.

Description of the Campaign

Cats purr to communicate, which may be roughly translated as "please keep still and pay attention to me." Kittens purr to convince their mothers to continue feeding them, while companion cats purr to be caressed. The vibrations originating from the purr surely have a relaxing impact on people. And sick cats will also purr as a cry for aid. Hence, purring does not necessarily indicate "happiness." (Scientific American, 2018). The determination of adaptability is a crucial issue for cat shelters seeking to find new homes. This drive will be an awareness campaign about having stray cats adopted. Supporting the idea of adopting cats instead of buying, especially for stray cats. This will promote that it is much better to adopt stray cats instead of buying or breeding them because they deserve to feel well-being and contentment. Give them shelter, feed them, quench their thirst, contact a rescue group practicing trap-neuter-return and consider finding a home for a stray.

Purpose of the Campaign

This campaign is worth the time and effort of the Purrfectionists because cats are not just any ordinary living animal, they are considered as pets, which also deserve the love and care of humans. Stray cats are mostly at risk and danger because they don't have a permanent home and live in the streets. According to Enriquez (2022), there were almost 13 million stray cats in the Philippines, which indicates that the primary issues facing the nation are overpopulation, a lack of knowledge on animal care, and irresponsible pet ownership, making it challenging to rescue every single one of them. Some people may not notice but stray cats are more friendly than any other cats at home, they are more vulnerable to people because they expect and seek affection from the people.
